Meet Bill Goebel

Bill Goebel serves on the Old North State Council Executive Board and the Executive Committee, and is chairman of the council’s 100th Anniversary Committee.

He has been active in scouting for more than 40 years, previously serving as an assistant scoutmaster; scoutmaster; chairman of the council’s Marketing Committee; and a member of the Council Friends of Scouting Kickoff Breakfast Committee. He has been instrumental in developing a marketing plan that promotes positive images of scouting in local media.

He is an Eagle Scout, a member of the Order of the Arrow and a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award.

Bill is an active member of Westover Church in Greensboro, where he serves as a middle and high school Sunday school teacher; a youth group leader; a high school small group leader; and coordinator of the  annual mission trip for high schoolers. His most recent mission trip was to Cuba.

He served on the board for the Friend’s House Ministry in Greensboro and has been active in fundraising for Caldwell Academy in Greensboro. He is a board member of Newman Machine Company and York Investment.

Bill is president of MPACT, a maintenance education and reliability specialist training company in Greensboro. MPACT is the third company started by Bill, who is the developer of Vaseline Lip Therapy.

He has:

  • Traveled to 42 countries

  • Appeared on “Good Morning, America”

  • Been featured in House Beautiful Magazine

  • Worked in the U.S. House of Representative

  • Attended Cleveland State University, Roosevelt University and Harvard University

Bill is the proud husband of Dori Goebel and father of Will, Jessa and Elisa Kay.
